How to make

  1. To make the custard mix, whisk together the eggs, chocolate milk, whole milk, sugar, vanilla and salt in a large bowl until smooth.
  2. Dip each slice into the mixture for about 10–15 seconds per side. Make sure it’s soaked but not falling apart.
  3. Heat the pan over medium heat and melt a knob of butter. Fry each slice for about 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and slightly crisp on the outside.
  4. Dust with icing sugar and add your favourite toppings.
