Banana and Avocado Smoothie

Great for all the family, this tasty smoothie can be a breakfast treat, or an afternoon pick me up. Quick, easy and highly versatile, this recipe can be made dairy free and vegan too.

What you'll need

  • Half an avocado
  • 2 tbsps honey or peanut butter
  • 500ml coconut milk or semi skimmed milk
  • 12 ice cubes
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract

How to make

  1. Peel and slice the bananas and the half avocado and place in a blender along with the spinach, peanut butter or honey, vanilla extract and milk of your choice.
  2. Blend everything until mostly smooth, then begin to add the ice cubes four at a time, and blending in between.
  3. Once all of the ice cube are in blend until smooth and serve.
