Marmalade Bread and Butter Pudding

The Dairy Diary has whipped up a surprisingly easy pudding that must be one of the sweetest ways to savour our favourite Thursday Cottage marmalade. And guess what? It tastes even more amazing with a drizzle of double cream on top!

How to make

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C/ 170°fan/ Gas 5 and lightly butter a 600ml (1 pint) pie dish.
  2. Spread bread with butter, then with marmalade and then cut each slice into four triangles. Arrange in prepared dish, sprinkling layers with caster sugar and sultanas.
  3. Beat eggs and milk together in a jug, then pour into the dish.
  4. Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown and set. Serve warm with custard or cream.
