Alcohol-Free Eggnog

A classically Christmassy drink, this rich and creamy eggnog is a must for festive dinners, and great for adding a shot of brandy or dark rum, or an extra dose of honey for a warming winter treat.

How to make

  1. Using a handheld mixer, combine the milk, egg yolks, honey, nutmeg and cinnamon for approximately one minute, until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and heat for approximately 10 minutes on a medium heat, whisking the eggs to create a smooth mixture.
  3. Once the mixture thickens, turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Leave to cool, then refrigerate the eggnog for at least 6 hours, or ideally overnight.
  5. Serve with a simple sprinkling of extra cinnamon and nutmeg on top.
