Wholegood: Bringing You The Freshest Fruit and Veg Straight From The Farm

Founded in 2007 by Carl Saxton-Pizzie, Wholegood was created with a simple mission – to bring you nutritional and healthy produce whilst nurturing a better planet for future generations.

Believing that the foundation of good health lies in the food we consume, they are passionate advocates of sustainable agriculture and preserving the Earth, taking immense pride in offering fresh, wholesome fruits and vegetables sourced from healthy soil. They achieve this by working with trusted farmers from Great Britain and beyond to get the most vibrant and tasty fruit and veg the seasons have to offer, and, working with us, speeding them to your doorstep in home compostable netting and plastic-free punnets so you can enjoy them at the peak of their freshness.

Over the last 15 years, Wholegood have built strong relationships with a large pool of growers who share their values and commitment to putting the planet first, focusing on sustainable agriculture, promoting harmony between humanity and nature.

The People Behind The Produce

Carl Saxton-Pizzie: We take pride in sourcing the freshest produce from biodynamic, organic, and conventional fruit and vegetable growers that we know and trust, like Clive Martin at Bedlam Farms in Cambridgeshire. We have worked with Bedlam Farms for over 10 years and source our UK organic asparagus, outdoor rhubarb, and spectacular pumpkins from Clive, who is the fourth generation to be farming the family’s land.

Our UK apple crop comes from Martin Soble of Carey Organics, The family started farming in 2004 and grow an array of different fruits including berries and plums. They have been supplying Wholegood for over 10 years with their incredible organic fruit.

One of our other longstanding growers is Pam Bowers of Strawberry Fields organic farm in Lincolnshire. She and her family began selling surplus organic vegetables from their back garden in 1975 before the business grew and they moved to Strawberry Fields. Pam’s sons, Clyde and Dicken, joined as second-generation organic farmers. The farm cultivates over fifty varieties of organic vegetables, including salad vegetables like lettuce, celery, fennel, onions, leeks, sweet corn, beetroot, kale, squash, and various herbs and have been supplying Wholegood for over 15 years.

Our fresh produce also come from Spanish farms and we have longstanding relationships with many Spanish growers who are passionate about growing and sustainability. Groups like Camposeven and Haciendas Bio grow our stone fruit, melons, salad and many vegetables.
